Product Description

Rockfall Netting is used to prevent rocks from falling onto the road, railways and other structures. The mesh is made of galvanized or PVC coated double twisted steel woven wire in acc.with ASTM A641 and EN10223-3. Because of the unraveling double twisted characteristics, the mesh can withstand huge forces and will not unravel even if the wire is broken. Rockfall protection netting with a PVC coating can be used in aggressive environments. In addition to galvanization, the steel wire is coated with a PVC layer of a nominal thickness of 0.50 mm. The technical characteristics and the resistance of the PVC to aging meet the relevant standards.

 
 

Rockfall netting is used to prevent rocks and debris from falling onto roads,railways or where there is a possibility of loss of property or life.
The wire used in the manufacture of Rockfall Netting is heavily zinc coated. When it is necessary, a 0,5 mm nominal thick PVC coating is applied to provide added protection for use in polluted environments where soil or water is acidic, in salt or fresh water or wherever the risk of corrosion is present. Rockfall Netting is made of hexagonal woven wire mesh Type 60 or 80 commonly referred as double twisted wire mesh.
